'Mobiliteitsbudget in opmars'

Neem ik vandaag de auto of de trein? Of toch thuiswerken? Die vragen zullen steeds meer forenzen zich stellen. Want het mobiliteitsbudget is in opmars, zo blijkt uit een recent artikel in NRC Handelsblad.

Volgens de krant zullen steeds meer werknemers zelf bepalen welk vervoermiddel zij kiezen voor woon-werkverkeer. Dat kan betekenen dat leaserijders een NS-Business Card krijgen van hun baas, terwijl houders van een ov-jaarkaart een auto mogen huren.

Dat is mogelijk doordat werknemers met het mobiliteitsbudget zelf vervoer kunnen inkopen voor een vast bedrag. Door op een slimme manier in te kopen, levert dat hen aan het eind van rit ook financieel wat op.

Slimme app voor forenzen
In de nabije toekomst zou een slimme app die gekoppeld is aan je agenda bovendien extra ondersteuning kunnen bieden. Die app zou je in sommige gevallen kunnen adviseren de trein te nemen. Bijvoorbeeld als er onderweg naar je volgende afspraak een file dreigt te ontstaan.

Zo'n app is nog even toekomstmuziek, maar via een platform als Slim Werken Slim Reizen proberen vijftig toonaangevende Nederlandse bedrijven daar verandering in te brengen. Zij willen dat twee miljoen Nederlanders voor eind 2015 slimmer omgaan met mobiliteit

Gedragsverandering mogelijk
Ook bedrijven als Centraal Beheer Achmea spelen in op deze trend. Manager Jack de Kraai van Achmea ziet mogelijkheden om het (reis)gedrag van werknemers te veranderen.

'Kijk maar het experiment met het mijden van de spits op de A12 in 2009. Een paar euro per dag blijkt al voldoende om mensen uit de file te houden', aldus De Kraai in het NRC-artikel.
